Juneteenth 2024 was a big hit! Sounds of my People participated in events, throughout the DMV from festivals, to lectures, to concerts! Juneteenth Festival This year Sounds of my People set up our African Diaspora Family Village at the Kensington Juneteenth Festival. Visitors enjoyed painting, games and more! This year we were joined by Tai Campbell of Taken Back Our Streets, Inc. Sounds of my People joined Bus Boys and Poets Juneteenth lectures and celebration. Rev Willie Wilson gave a great history lessons everyone should hear!
